Tang yang

Tang is a licensed architect who has managed complex projects for ski resorts, educational institutions and private industry. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Master’s Degree in Architecture and then spent 7 years practicing in Boston, MA. After exploring the east coast, Tang returned to Utah and joined GSBS Architects. When not at work, Tang enjoys all the outdoor activities that Utah offers, especially skiing, with his wife and three kids.

As the Principal leading the Resort and Hospitality market sector at GSBS, Tang has combined his love of skiing with his daily work on lodges and other exciting projects at ski resorts. Tang’s extensive experience working at ski resorts has allowed him to develop the specialized knowledge required to address the unique design and construction challenges required for these distinctive projects.

Tang maintains a connection to the larger architectural community by being involved in multiple volunteer roles, most notably with NOMA Utah and AIA Utah. A founding member of the NOMA Utah chapter, Tang serves as secretary on the NOMA Utah board of directors. Tang has also served with AIA Utah as the Treasurer and the past chair of the PR Committee. At the University of Utah, he has been involved in the mentoring program and is a regular visiting critic for classes and studios.
