Clio enjoys the diversity of natural and built environments and travels to experience both. Her childhood was filled with camping trips, star gazing, and exploration. Everything was an experiment and an opportunity to learn. Before becoming an architect, she had the opportunity to work at the Grand Teton National Park, create delicious confections as a baker, and design and build the Rosie Joe House as a member of the Design Build Bluff team. These early experiences lead naturally to a passion for hands-on creation. Education and sustainability are cornerstones of her career.

Clio loves all living things and aspires to one day have a garden like she did as a child, despite that fact that she kills most every plant she encounters. Her love of animals has grown into a dedication to her varied and large dogs that takes precedence over nearly all other things. When she is not snuggling on the couch, she is often daydreaming about architecture, solving the current puzzle on a project, or redesigning her own house, again.

Clio has worked at GSBS Architects since she graduated with her master’s in architecture from the University of Utah in 2005 and has been a licensed architect in Utah since 2009. She strongly believes in the power of education and has been fortunate enough in her career to be able to collaborate with like-minded clients for K-12 School Districts, Colleges, and Universities. The bulk of Clio’s architectural resume is work for higher education institutions on sustainable and distinctive projects.
