GRANT GOLIGHTLY
Architect
AIA
Grant was drawn to architecture at a young age but never imagined he would become an architect. Thanks to the encouragement of a great mentor and a ton of hard work, he did. He had a love of drawing at a young age and one of his earliest accolades was winning a school lunch poster contest in Junior High. Art classes were even more fun when it involved perspectives, as a kid he often said, “I’m a great artist as long as it’s with a ruler.” He also loves finding the details in things; details not only attracted him to architecture but also to the world of photography.
Outside of work, life is very busy. Time spent with his wife and children come first. They love to travel and just get out and see things. When free time is found, it’s hard for him to choose just one of his many hobbies and passions. At the top of that list is hockey, as he plays, watches, and even referees Ice Hockey. Travel, motorcycle rides, fishing, watching baseball and friends are also at the top of this list. He’s a busy body at home always finding a new project or improvement to be made. Grant is also an accomplished photographer and loves photographing architecture, nature, and portraits. (He took many of the headshots for GSBS.)
Grant is a project manger overseeing many of our industrial projects for BDO/ Boyer in Ogden, Utah and our government/military projects at Hill AFB. He loves working with owners, contractors, developers, engineers and city, state, & county officials throughout the project process as they see their dreams become reality.
