A new state park opened recently in Grand County—Utahraptor State Park. GSBS is designing infrastructure facilities and amenities that will serve campers while maintaining the Park’s recreational value and celebrating its natural beauty. New facilities include a Visitor Center/entry station, campgrounds with restroom facilities, and housing for staff and the campsite manager. Low-profile structures with single slope roofs and an earthy color palette were inspired by the landforms and colors of the surrounding desert. The Visitor Center’s open and flexible floor plan corresponds to the expansive wilderness of the park and encourages a variety of uses.
