eman siddiqui

Architect
AIA, NOMA

Eman Siddiqui was born and raised on the coast of the Arabian Sea in Karachi, Pakistan. After completing her architectural training at the University of Kansas, Eman started her career in sports architecture in Kansas City, Missouri.

Eman's strong interest in equity and diversity in architecture and design led her to found the Utah chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects. Eman has served as a jury member for the NOMA Phil Freelon Professional Design Awards and organized Utah's first Project Pipeline Summer Camp, connecting marginalized communities with real-world architects and designers to introduce middle school students to the profession, strengthening a more diverse pipeline into the design and construction industry. In her free time, you can find Eman making beautiful creations in her kitchen or exploring paths less traveled with her husband in their red Jeep Wrangler they lovingly refer to as Ruby.

Eman's skillset is as unique as the projects she has worked on: the new ballpark for the Atlanta Braves, ultra-luxury condos at Teton Village, a mountaintop bar at Snowbird Resort, brand new suites for the Kentucky Derby, and a new rooftop garden for the Salt Lake City Public Library. As a project manager at GSBS Architects, she uses her varied background to grow the resort and hospitality practice at the firm. Her drive to improve her surrounding community can be seen in her various projects with the Salt Lake City and County Libraries.

Eman has been recognized as Utah Construction and Design Magazine's 40 & Under Rising Stars working in the design sector in the state of Utah in 2022, and has received the Salt Lake City Women in Architecture's Leader of the Year Award and a Distinguished Service Award from her alma mater, the University of Kansas, in 2023.
